A few days after Demi Moore Tweeted that she’ll play the mom to Miley Cyrus’ character in the upcoming film LOL, we’ve got a couple other tidbits related to the teen queen to pass along:

1. Miley will host the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards, taking over for last year’s emcees, The Jonas Brothers. The event will take place later this year in Toronto and mark Miley’s first-ever hosting gig.
2. While the music video for Cyrus’ upcoming single, “I Can’t Be Tamed,” won’t be released until May, an insider has seen snippets of it and told E! News: “Imagine ‘Party in the USA’ on steroids. It will blow people away.”

What’s Miley gonna do, slither up and down a stripper that sits atop an ice cream truck? Oh. Wait. She already did that.

Erykah Badu show a video for her single Window Seat and it’s definitely sparked some controversy. The singer takes off her clothes along Dallas’s Dealey Plaza and feigns being shot in the head. She falls to the ground exactly where JFK was assassinated.

She took to her Twitter to set the record straight.

Erykah said:

“I would never disrespect JFK. his revolutionary thinking is my inspiration. my performance art has been grossly misinterpreted by many.”

Yet she gave a pretty vivid play-by-play on the shoot, which makes it sound like she was pushing the limit.

She Tweeted:

“There were children there. i prayed they wouldnt b traumatized.”

“yelling, THIS IS A PUBLIC PLACE : YOU OUGHTA BE ASHAMED : PUT YOUR CLOTHES ON : DAMN GIRL! etc…”

While Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner sat in the audience looking bored as hell, Molly Ringwald, Matthew Broderick, Anthony Michael Hall, Ma caulay Culkin, Jon Cryer, Ally Sheedy and Judd Nelson stood together at the Oscars and each told a Hughes anecdote.You can’t blame the Twilight teens though..they probably don’t even know who The Donger is.

John Hughes made great movies that touched a generation. He had a way of making the awkwardness of being a teenager somehow seem normal.

The Brat Pack tribute was touching and respectful.
