Did Lady GaGa help an Army officer smuggle classifed data?

That’s what government documents are declaring. According to government officials, PFC Bradley Manning was charged with illegally transferring Defense Department data and leaking it to a website by the name of Wikileaks.

The officer apparently pretended he was listening to Lady GaGa on his computer by humming and lip-syncing while transferring highly classified information from Army computers onto writable CDs.

Reporter Thom Shanker wrote:

“He was able to avoid detection not because he kept a poker face, they said, but apparently because he hummed and lip-synched to Lady Gaga songs to make it appear that he was using the classified computer’s CD player to listen to music.

Adrian Lamo, a well-known former hacker, had traded electronic messages in which Private Manning described his unhappiness with the Army—and, Mr. Lamo said, his activities downloading classified data.

Mr. Lamo said Private Manning described how he had used compact discs capable of storing data, but tucked inside recognizable music CD cases, ‘to bring the data out of the secure room.’

‘He indicated he disguised one as a Lady Gaga CD. He said he lip-synched to blend in.’

Whoa!

That’s such a shady thing to do, but at least he had good taste in music!

Lady Gaga was the scheduled performer at Anna Wintour’s annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, co-hosted this year by the Oprah and Gap creative director Patrick Robinson.

Instead of walking the red carpet with the thousand other celebrities that night, Gaga locked herself in her dressing room for most of the night and just refused to come out. Just as people were starting to panic, The Oprah stepped in and FIXED IT.

“She literally wouldn’t come out,” says a spy. “Friends tried, [Warner Music exec] Lyor Cohen tried, no dice. Eventually,Vito Schnabel got Terence Koh on the phone to talk to her, which helped. Koh and Oprah were the ones who finally coaxed her out.”

Some think Gaga’s meltdown had something to do with Bono..who rudely walked out halfway through her performance.

Apparently, Rob Fusari reckons he’s responsible for making her the star that she is today, and whilst he acknowledges receiving cheques totalling $611,000 for his work he still thinks he deserves more – namely a 20% share of royalties, 15% of merchandising and other money owed under previous agreements. According to the Associated Press.

The lawsuit, which was filed on Wednesday in a Manhattan state court, reads: “All business is personal.” And it goes on to suggest that, Fusari spent months working with GaGa every day, shaping her into the star she is today, as well as co-writing the songs ‘Paparazzi’ and ‘Beautiful, Dirty, Rich’ on the award-winning album The Fame.

What’s more, he’s also claiming that his relationship with Miss GaGa / Stefani Germanotta became romantic, despite claiming that he was underwhelmed by Lady GaGa when they first met in March 2006.

“I haven’t got time to spend on the road to get to know anyone,” she told reporters Monday at MAC cosmetics’ Viva Glam event in London, reports the U.K.’s Mirror. “Even Lady Gaga can be celibate. You don’t have to have sex to be loved.”

The “Poker Face” singer, 23, who arrived at the event in a sexy see-through black lace dress, may be abstaining – but that doesn’t preclude her from offering opinions about what goes on in the bedroom.

“Sex should be fun, beautiful and colorful, but women get the short end of the stick,” she says. “We’re just receivers. We can’t talk about sex, we can’t sing about sex.”

To keep the loneliness at bay while on tour, she takes strength from her fans, whom she calls her “roommates.”

“When I see my beautiful fans I feel how much they protect and mean to me,” she says. “It would be irresponsible if I didn’t protect them and teach young people to be self-expressive, to love yourself.”
