Kate Gosselin and her brood are currently Alaska to film TLC’s Kate Plus 8. Rumor has it they’ve got a camping trip planned up north with the most famous Alaskan!

Sarah Palin will be making a guest appearance, according to reports.

The Gosselins were spotted in Anchorage Thursday and Friday. The kids had fun, but it’s all about the Kate Plus 8 ratings – and two pop culture phenoms colliding.

The Dancing With the Stars alum is slated to meet with former Governor Sarah Palin for a camping excursion that will be shown on the series. Words fail us now.

During their stay, the Pennsylvanians will also be receiving a hands-on natural history lesson from Palin’s father, Chuck Heath, and Sarah’s brother, Chuck Jr.

Both Chucks are school teachers in America’s 49th state.

TLC-YA THERE: The Palins will welcome the Gosselins to Alaska!

“She’s excited because it will be fun and educational for the children. Sarah will even teach Kate how to avoid bears!” the source told In Touch about Palin.

Valuable life lessons for the kiddos, for sure. We just hope they don’t bring in Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin to offer tips on how to avoid teen pregnancy.

Palin’s representatives referred reporters to TLC when contacted about the In Touch report, while the network subsequently stated that it had no comment.

While not officially confirmed her appearance would make some sense, given that it offers a nice tie-in with Sarah Palin’s Alaska, which TLC landed in March.

The eight-episode documentary series will feature the former V.P. nominee spotlighting various facets of Alaskan life, and is being produced by Mark Burnett.

We await the announcement of the Palin/Gosselin 2012 ticket.

Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz are fighting over Alex Rodriguez.
Cameron is dating the baseball star which has infuriated Kate – who was in a relationship with Alex from May to December last year – and she now “hates” the ‘Knight and Day’ actress.
Kate believes Cameron is trying to get her back for sleeping with Justin Timberlake just days after the pair split in early 2007.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: “Kate thinks it’s payback pure and simple. Cameron was actually in a serious long-term relationship with Justin.
“She thinks it’s a joke Kate would be mad. Kate is only upset because she hates being single.”
Now, the 31-year-old actress has started getting personal, and claims Cameron, 37, is an “ageing” star who is struggling to keep her youthful looks.
The source said: “Kate thinks Cameron is an ageing actress struggling to remain sexy and relevant.”
Recently Alex – who plays baseball for the New York Yankees – is believed to have banned Cameron from coming to his games because he wants to keep things casual with her.
An insider said: “He doesn’t want what happened to him and Kate to happen between him and Cameron. Kate was at every New York game and then some and even went to Alex’s game practice. Things got too clingy, too fast.”

Kate Gosselin has her hands full with eight kids. For once, we sympathize.

The reality mom, who was recently sent packing from Dancing with the Stars, has returned to parenting duties, and blogs that she’s more referee than mom.

Describing fights among her youngins, she says: “Help! Where is my referee uniform??? Honestly, this is every minute of every day in a house with eight kids!”

“OK, I’ll admit it. There are the sweet moments of love and compassion to balance these never-ending stressful encounters, but for some reason, these unloving loud outbursts are what I tend to remember,” adds the recently-divorced Kate.

How does she stop the bickering (wonder where they get it from)?

“I’m to the point where I hold up my hand and say, ‘I’m not the complaint department, and I don’t like how black and white stripes look on me, so go work it out.”

She “mentally devises” how she’ll deal with her sextuplets, who just turned six, and twins before “the next time I hear the stampede of unrest coming my way.”

Sometimes, she even considers “running in the other direction and hiding,” she admits of the “emotionally tiring and time consuming” task of raising children. “And there are many more jungle outbursts to be handled, … Help me!!!!!!!!”

Held as part of the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival, the usually gorgeous Kate and Jess are not sporting their best looks to this movie premiere. I normally HEART everything Kate wears to big events..but not digging the boring black dress and don’t get me started on that grecian mess that Alba is wearing.

The movie was supposed to be some breakthrough in the thriller/horror genre, but the reviews are mixed. You can read a spoiler recap after the jump, but I think I’ll still see it just because I know Casey Affleck can pull off a psychopath. Have you seen him in The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford? No? Go Netflix it right now. He is AWESOME. Nothing like that cheeseball brother of his.

The Killer Inside Me Trailer – Watch a funny movie here

Casey Affleck plays nicely with his young looks and soft voice to become Lou Ford, the small-town Texas sheriff’s deputy engaged to a sweet local girl (Kate Hudson) and friendly with all the local big deals, but harboring a whole plethora of dark secrets. For starters he raped a 5-year-old in his childhood, only to pin it on his older brother who later died in what may or may not have been an accident. His mom molested him in return, and apparently it all combined to give Lou a taste for spanking and hitting women like a local prostitute (Jessica Alba) who falls into bed with him immediately after he hits her in the face.

Things with the prostitute get a lot more complicated when Lou conspires to rip off a local oil tycoon by killing both him and the girl– a pair of staged murders must lead to more, of course, and soon Lou is a full-fledged serial killer with local authorities played by Elias Koteas and Simon Baker hot on his tail. There are a lot of things that don’t make sense about the whole scenario, including the fact that Kate Hudson stays with him, the fact that he isn’t thrown into the clink the minute they have evidence to connect him to the murder (which happens pretty much instantly), or Lou’s harebrained idea to blame the murders on a kid with an airtight alibi. And that’s all before Bill Pullman shows up raving at a lunatic asylum and rattling off metaphors about lawn weeds.

I get slamming on Heidi Montag and Madonna. They look like franken-versions of their former selves anymore. But come on, Paula Porizkova….get off Kate Hudson’s ass. First of all..we don’t even know for sure if she had any plastic surgery and if she did she had the smallest breast augmentation ever.

Kate Gosselin had a grand ol’ time at her book signing for I Just Want You To Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family at Barnes & Noble Friday.

Heck, getting paid to shill for a book about parenting sure beats actual parenting! What’s next, Sarah Palin doing a show about Alaska’s natural … oh, wait.

Gosselin is so busy, she says, she doesn’t have time for relationships: “I’m married to my kids and my career… I don’t believe there’s anyone out there.”

“I don’t really have time [to date],” she told Access Hollywood. “I don’t believe there is someone who can handle all my baggage that’s too heavy to lift.”

Kate Gosselin loves being paid to pretend to be a mom.

On her book tour, Kate also opened up about a tragedy – that she and Jon were actually supposed to have septuplets, but the seventh, a girl, did not survive.

In her book, Kate writes letters to each of her eight children, and mentions the baby in a letter to Alexis, one of the sextuplets. But she rarely talks about it.

“I don’t spend much time grieving or dealing with the fact that there was a seventh baby,” she said. “It makes you wonder, who would this baby have been?”

A baby who wishes her mom spent more time at home and less seeking stardom, most likely. Just wait until the whole family moves to Hollywood, too.

Sources are saying that Kate Gosselin is loving the Hollywood lifestyle as a cast member of Dancing With The Stars — so much so that she’s looking into buying a home in the Hollywood Hills for herself and the kids!

A friend reveals:

“Now that Kate has tasted the excitement of Hollywood, there is no way that she is going to return to Pennsylvania. She is looking at homes in the Hollywood Hills in gated communities in the $2 million range.

Kate is insisting the properties she sees have a pool, at least six bedrooms, an outdoor hot tub and, bizarrely, a recording studio!”

If Kate records an album, that would be absolutely HIGHlarious! Kate’s also been taking meetings with agents, managers and publicists because she wants to get into showbiz! Another insider explains:

“Kate wants to be a movie star. Kate thinks that after Jennifer Aniston’s last few films didn’t do so well, America needs a new girl next door. And who better to fill Jen’s shoes than Kate!”

We might not be Maniston’s biggest fan, but we certainly don’t think Kate’s going to have the same kind of film career — if she manages to get one at all!

Kate Gosselin electrified the Dancing with the Stars crowd last night.

Okay, not really. She sucked and still got the lowest score. But she sucked a lot less than previous weeks, and that’s building up her confidence.

“Dancing is starting to feel natural; that’s scary, right?” Kate told E! last night after her Dancing With the Stars “mini-breakthrough” of a tango.

Does Tony Dovolani agree about the bane of his existence his partner? Believe it or not, yes: “She crossed over to the dancing side,” he said.

“It sounds like the dark side,” she joked. No doubt Jon Gosselin would have a witty retort if he weren’t chasing mediocre skirts somewhere.

It’s not saying much, but last night was Kate’s best effort yet.

“I was totally in the dance,” Kate added. “This was the first week I had fun out there. I was with Tony the entire time. Who had time to be nervous? I was dancing!”

Will the fans keep her around for another week? If they did so the previous two, you’d have to think she stands a good chance this time. She sure hopes so, too.

“I am psyched, we’re going to practice after this,” she said following her interview earlier today. “I’m totally into this and using my time wisely,” she promised.
