Compared to his monologue from 2011, Ricky Gervais took it very easy on celebrities to open tonight's Golden Globe Awards. Celebrities in attendance, that is.

The comedian did get in a couple of digs at two THG mainstays, however, first comparing this ceremony to the Academy awards via this zinger:

“The Golden Globes are to the Oscars what Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton. A bit louder, bit trashier, bit drunker, and more easily bought... allegedly.”

Gervais then turned his attention to Justin Bieber, referring to his paternity test scandal and expressing shock at the mere notion of Bieber as a father. Quipped the host:

“The only way that he could have impregnated a girl is if he borrowed one of Martha Stewart’s turkey basters.”

Eh, not bad. Fairly random, considering music is the one industry NOT recognized by the Golden Globes, but, hey, being referenced in a monologue means you've really made it. Wait, no one tell that to Kim.

Justin Bieber, 17, had the test done Friday at a laboratory in New Jersey under “very controlled circumstances,” sources told TMZ — so his legal team could prove the sample was not tampered with at any time.

Last week, Bieber’s longtime manager Scooter Braun said the teen pop star would agree to a paternity test to end the tabloid buzz after Mariah Yeater told Star magazine she had sex with Bieber after a concert in October 2010.

Teen pop singer Justin Bieber has been in the news lately for reasons unrelated to him singing "Baby, Baby" ... unless he uttered that while nailing Mariah Yeater.

The 20-year-old alleged baby mama claims she had (brief) sex with Bieber backstage after a concert last fall and that her three-month-old son is Bieber's.

She is suing Justin for child support, while Bieber, who denies ever meeting Mariah Yeater, says he will take a paternity test to prove it, then sue her right back.

Despite the inconsistencies in her story - Mariah Yeater first accused her ex of fathering the child - she's speaking out about their "affair" on The Insider tonight.

According to Mariah, Bieber was aggressive in the sack/men's room:

"He immediately took a liking to me. We just got to talking," she recalls. "Eventually he asked me, 'Would you mind if we could go somewhere and be alone.'"

"Then when we got to what turned out to be a bathroom, his whole demeanor changed. It went from cute and gushy to more aggressive," Yeater continues.

Specifically, he supposedly asked to "f--k the s--t" out of her. Obvi.

"I have provided evidence to my attorneys and it'll show in court that my allegations are true," she says, responding to claims that she's a liar and gold digger.

Asked why Bieber's security guard says he never left Bieber that night and Justin went straight to the car following the concert, Mariah says, "No comment."

Her interview airs tonight. Do you believe Bieb smushed that?

 Justin Bieber has already proven that he can work with the biggest names in the music business. Case in point: his recent duet with Mariah Carey.

Now, the singer has come out and offered an intriguing tease of what's to come on his next album. Or, to be more precise, who is to come.

“I’m working with a lot of cool people. I’m working with Kanye. Drake is gonna work on the album with me and a lot of different artists,” Justin told Rap-Up about the CD due out in early 2012.

Bieber is also collaborating with producers Bangladesh, Kevin Cossom, and Danja, the latter of whom recently said: “What I’m creating for him I think is definitely a more mature sound. That’s where he’s headed now."

Actually, where he's headed now is Dancing with the Stars. Bieber will perform with Boyz II Men on Tuesday, November 1.
