On Tuesday night, Dexter stars and former spouses Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter were spotted having dinner at Beverly Hill’s Peninsula Hotel. Considering that the pair abruptly ended their two year marriage last year after Michael was reportedly cheating with Julia Stiles, it was surprising to see the pair looking so ... friendly!

Okay, much more than friendly. An eyewitness at the restaurant recalls the scene of their "romantic setting," as they sat at a "dimly lit corner table, sipping wine." Then, the spy added:

“When Jennifer got up to use the ladies, Michael squeezed her hand, looked up at her and she smiled. And when she got back, they held hands on the table for a bit. At one point, Michael leaned across the table and he and Jennifer kissed -- a make-out kind of kiss, not a friendly one. They both looked really happy.”

You know, it's been a rough past year for them both, between his Hodgkin's lymphoma and his affair, but maybe all the pain and heartache has finally led them to a better place.

Here's hoping they have worked their issues out.

And her all-too-human love life off screen inspires sympathy that not even a string of bland romantic comedies can diminish. Despite rumors that link Jennifer Lopez to her back-up dancer, sources tell Us Weekly this singer spent a night alone with ex-husband Marc Anthony on November 8, as J. Lo touched down in Puerto Rico in honor of the former couple's talent competition Q'Viva! The Chosen.

Anthony picked Lopez at the airport and "Marc never stayed in his hotel room," an insider says... if we know what he or she means!

Describing the divorce as an emotional "roller coaster" for both parties, the mole says future hook-ups are also "inevitable" because Anthony "has this hold" over his ex. Still, another friend wants to make it clear:

"They may sleep together, but they're over!"

Sure. And sometimes they're under. And sometimes they're side-by-side or upside down. We get it.

For a while now, we've been hearing about Lifetime's Five, which features five short films from A-list talent AND marks Jennifer Aniston's directorial debut.

Unfortunately, the made-for-TV-movie which focuses on stores about women affected by breast cancer didn't bring in audiences, averaging 1.3 million total viewers for its Monday premiere. Ouchie.

Five will re-air on Lifetime this Saturday and Sunday, so maybe it'll pick up some more viewers then!

Either way, we give Jen credit for taking a shot at the whole directing thing! Not easy AT ALL.
