Even Johnny Depp and Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder went public on their disagreement with the trial.

Three teens were found guilty in the case of the brutal murders of three Arkansas boys. They were sentenced with the death penalty (for Damien Echols) and life in prison (for Jesse MissKelley and Jason Baldwin).

How were they suspects? Time was running out for the police department, and the pressure to arrest someone quick was hot.

Soon they found three teenage boys who wore all black and listened to heavy metal. Jackpot.

There was no evidence of involvement other than what many believe to be the coerced confession of Jesse MissKelley AFTER the arrests. At the time of confession, MissKelley was without legal representation and fell close to the border of mental retardation.

MissKelley later retracted his statement, claiming he was becoming increasingly fearful of the police, and that it wasn't clear to what he was actually confessing to.

Using the murky confession and the prosecution's claims of satanic ritual motives, the jury decided their fate.

MTV quickly aired documentaries, Paradise Lost 1 & 2, to increase national awareness.

All had seemed lost for the seemingly innocent men, but now it looks like they have hope at last.

Brand new DNA results have been released which exclude the West Memphis 3 from the murders.

It has also come to light that Echols requested papers alleged to have held one of the boy's wet clothes be tested, but the papers never made it to the evidence box. When asked for presentation now, the police department cannot find them...

Thanks to all of this new information, hearings have been granted for all three men. They are set to be held in December of 2011.

With the justice system failing before, and now especially with the news of an error made in Casey Anthony's case, we sincerely hope true justice can finally be served.

Not just for the West Memphis 3, but also for the peace of those murdered - Stevie Branch, Christopher Byers, and Michael Moore.

New DNA Evidence Found In West Memphis 3 Investigation, New Hearing Set This Year is a post from: Uberbitching Latest Hollywood Gossip

The 32-year-old star was questioned by the authorities after ex-husband Peter Andre discovered a reportedly untreated burn on her back after a trip to Swiss skiing report Klosters, but investigations are now over and no further questions will be asked.

In a statement, Katie said: “I am naturally delighted that the police have concluded their investigation into the minor burn that Princess sustained while she was in Klosters.

“The police have informed me that, having looked into this and having spoken to the GP that Peter took the Princess to see, that they are satisfied that the account provided of how the injury was sustained and the nature of that injury was accurate. It follows that there are no child protection issues.

“I am so relieved at the police findings.”

Katie added she was “disappointed” in the way Peter – with who she also has five-year-old son Junior – had reacted to the incident, although she still considers him a good father.

She said: “Although I am naturally disappointed with the way my ex-husband has behaved in relation to this incident I want to make clear that I consider him to be a good father to Princess and Junior.

“I hope he believes the same of me and that Princess and Junior can now be allowed to grow up out of the public domain and without being the centre of such allegations.”

Earlier this week Katie’s mother Amy Price hit out at Peter for contacting his legal team when he could not receive an explanation for the burn from his ex-wife.

She said: “‘I don’t understand why Pete is having a go at Kate.

“Her sister Sophie and I were the ones with Princess when it happened and I know it was a fluke accident – and just how minor it is.”

TMZ broke the story … Agate Printing, Inc. filed a lawsuit against IMG and its owner, Ted Forstmann, claiming Forstmann left Agate holding the bag for a fortune in tax liabilities over gambling losses.

Among other things, the suit alleges Forstmann quadrupled a bet on Roger Federer after Federer allegedly gave him inside info about a match.  And, the suit claims, Forstmann bet against his own client, Tiger Woods.

We’ve now obtained an internal memo sent to IMG employees, addressing the lawsuit and proclaiming, “We intend to hand over all of the relevant information to the appropriate criminal authorities and to ask them to prosecute this individual [Agate] to the fullest extent of the law.”

Sources close to IMG tell TMZ … Forstmann’s lawyer will present evidence that Agate is trying to extort him.

TMZ: Tiger’s Manager Wants Extortion Investigation is a post from: Uberbitching Latest Hollywood Gossip

An attorney for the actress’ father, Michael Lohan, sent a letter to the California attorney general in July asking for an investigation into “the unscrupulous doctors [who] overprescribe medications…”

TMZ.com reported that the attorney general referred the matter to state medical board, which launched an investigation.

“The Medical Board is investigating and Michael and I are cooperating with them,” Bloom confirmed to the website.

The board would not confirm that any investigation was taking place, according to E! Online, as the oversight body is not permitted to publicly disclose any pending cases until charges are pressed and the investigation became a matter of public record.

Such investigations usually take several months, the report states.

Lohan was released early from a 90-day court-ordered rehab stint last month. TMZ said doctors at the UCLA rehab facility believe the actress was misdiagnosed with – and therefore wrongfully prescribed medication for – Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Prior to entering UCLA, according to the website, Lohan had various prescriptions, including ones for Dilaudid, Adderall, Nexium, Zoloft, Trazodone and Ambien.

Corey Haim's mother, Judy Haim, has told the LA County Coroner's Office to check out a couple of urgent care facilities her son used to frequent often!

Judy says Corey would go to multiple urgent cares to obtain prescriptions and some of the facilities would prescribe him up to 90 pills at a time!

So not okay!

The coroner's office will be obtaining a list of the facilities Corey was known to hit up often, and between this and the alleged prescription drug rings, the shiz is seriously about to hit the fan for the drug peddlers!
