For once, drama involving someone on The Real Housewives of Atlanta is NOT being scripted.

Bryson Bryant, the oldest son of NeNe Leakes, was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge on March 7.

Bryant is well known to any long-time Bravo viewer. During the first season of the show, Leakes looked at colleges with him.

“Like any parent, I am disappointed with the actions and arrest of my son, Bryson,” NeNe said in the statement. “Certainly, my husband and I will deal with this family issue in a private manner. My son is not the first young adult to experiment with marijuana, and he certainly won’t be the last.

“Still, as parents, this is a chance for us to have an open dialogue with him about the dangers of any substance abuse. I realize as a parent that my job is never done. And as I’ve tweeted, tough love was in order. Still, I ask that you respect our privacy during this trying time.”

We’ll be glad to, but will NeNe do the same? The Real Housewives of Atlanta was picked up for a third season today, after all.

Wyclef Jean was chosen as humanitarian of the year at the NAACP Award show:

The NAACP has seen fit this year to honor Mr Wyclef Jean with the Vanguard Award. The recipient of this award is chosen based on their work to improve racial and social issues. It is an honor well deserved by Mr. Jean.

[...]  In 2005 Jean established the Yele Haiti Foundation with a quarter of a million dollars of his own money. Wyclef coined the term Yele and it comes from a creole word that mean to scream. He chose it because he wanted his cry for his country to be heard.  The foundation was created to provide humanitarian aid and assistance to his homeland.  In its first year of operation, Yele Haiti provided scholarships to 3,600 students, and has concentrated efforts on education, arts, sports, food distribution and emergency relief. Yele Haiti now has an annual operating budget of $3 million dollars.

After the devastating earthquake struck Haiti recently, Mr. Jean was on a plane to Haiti almost immediately and worked tirelessly to help during the disaster and to raise money awareness of his country’s plight.

“I haven’t got time to spend on the road to get to know anyone,” she told reporters Monday at MAC cosmetics’ Viva Glam event in London, reports the U.K.’s Mirror. “Even Lady Gaga can be celibate. You don’t have to have sex to be loved.”

The “Poker Face” singer, 23, who arrived at the event in a sexy see-through black lace dress, may be abstaining – but that doesn’t preclude her from offering opinions about what goes on in the bedroom.

“Sex should be fun, beautiful and colorful, but women get the short end of the stick,” she says. “We’re just receivers. We can’t talk about sex, we can’t sing about sex.”

To keep the loneliness at bay while on tour, she takes strength from her fans, whom she calls her “roommates.”

“When I see my beautiful fans I feel how much they protect and mean to me,” she says. “It would be irresponsible if I didn’t protect them and teach young people to be self-expressive, to love yourself.”

So unbelievably sad.

Details are already emerging about Corey Haim’s tragic death this morning, and it appears the actor may have died of a prescription drug overdose.

Law enforcement is reporting that Haim collapsed in the bedroom of his mother’s apartment around 1:30am this morning, and authorities recovered four prescription bottles at the scene.

Haim had recently been battling flu-like symptoms, but the above-mentioned meds were unrelated to that.

Haim’s mother also confirmed her son had been battling an addiction to prescription drugs for years.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family.

Charlie Sheen can soon start uttering unfunny Two and a Half Men quotes again.

Next week, the actor will resume shooting the terrible CBS sitcom, but there’s a caveat: he’ll have to return to rehab every night. There are four episodes of the show remaining to the filmed this season.

On Monday, March 15, Sheen will be in an Aspen court for his felony arraignment. He’ll then go back to Los Angeles that evening, where he’ll stay at a treatment center and then head to work first thing Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, insiders say Sheen is in good spirits and his doctors have given him permission to resume shooting.

As for that woman who claims to have done drugs, as well as Sheen AND Brooke Mueller… no word from her yet.

So has Montag caught the performing bug? “I am so excited about my acting future,” she says. “I can’t wait for my next role to be as an action star! This is just the beginning of a whole new world for me.”
